Liquid Web Customer Support Manager talks about how she got into the tech industry, the importance of adaptability, and the endless possibilities for a career in tech.
Anne Jenkins was born and raised in Zagreb, Croatia., a city known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and beautiful architecture. “My childhood was filled with unique experiences in this city, such as exploring the medieval streets of the Old Town and visiting the many museums and galleries that showcase Croatia’s rich cultural heritage,” she says. says.
One of her favorite things about growing up in Zagreb was the sense of community that surrounded her. “My parents are both hard-working professionals who instilled in me a strong work ethic and love of learning from an early age. My father owned a construction company and I was always begging him to take me to construction sites. I was fascinated by how they built buildings from scratch. ”
Even before choosing her career path, Jenkins knew she was happiest when she could help people deal with complex problems and solve problems. “I love the feeling of being able to make a difference and provide support where it’s needed,” she says. “Having a positive impact on people’s lives, that’s the whole point. My upbringing and personal interests played an important role in shaping my passion for finding solutions.”
When it came time to choose a career path, Jenkins found a way to use her natural talents and interests to help others organize and manage their work and teams. I was thinking about it. “I have a passion for finding new and innovative ways to improve,” she says. During her studies, and after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics, she mainly worked in the field of hospitality management, tourism, and various types of sales, always communicating directly with clients . At the time, Jenkins didn’t know much about the industry, but he eagerly and quickly learned the ins and outs of web hosting technology.
She recently celebrated her 5th anniversary at Liquid Web.where she started as a customer service representative and progressed to her current position as a senior customer support manager.
“My role as Customer Support Manager is ultimately about making sure our customers receive the best possible experience when they contact us.” she says. “I lead and develop a team of customer service specialists – an amazing group of people – and ensure our team provides high-quality customer service that meets and exceeds our customers’ needs and expectations. After all, we are supporting heroes!”
Jenkins loves that technology is a field that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. “This means you can use your creativity and innovation to contribute to the development of new products, services and solutions that have the effect of changing a situation, a business or ultimately someone’s life,” she says. .
She also loves the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. “Our customers come from diverse backgrounds and have unique stories and experiences to share. I am always impressed by their resilience and creativity in the face of hardship. I am honored to help people overcome these challenges and find solutions,” she says.
