Introducing Chris Caden
Chris Caden from Pennsylvania After living in New York City for several years and working as a freelance web and graphic designer, I returned to New York. He also worked for several years as a contributing writer and co-director at the world’s largest short film festival.
His first job in the technology industry was at age 21, I am working as a printing apprentice at a newspaper company. Chris learned how to write a daily newspaper and began working on creating advertisements to run in the newspaper. This was his first real experience with design software. Eventually, he started building websites and learning about design, SEO, and social media marketing. Chris is currently his marketing web and content specialist at Liquid Web.
Why did you join Liquid Web?
I had been freelancing for years before joining Liquid Web, but I knew it was time for a change. I wanted to use my skills in a different way. At Liquid Web, we use not only the technical side but also the creative side every day.
What drew you to the hosting industry as a career?
I saw this as an opportunity to learn something new about hosting and technology. I got interested in hosting because I spent a lot of time interacting with other companies on behalf of clients.
I’ve dealt with various hosting companies over the years and have had some not-so-good experiences. However, Liquid Web has excellent customer service and goes to great lengths to satisfy its customers.
Is there anything in particular that you like about Liquid Web?
I love seeing the dedication to high standards and how everyone works to achieve them. The culture at Liquid Web is amazing. I work on a great team and it shows in our focus on quality and problem solving. Everyone has a “can do” attitude.
What do you like most about Liquid Web’s company culture?
It’s fun and very productive. everyone has a different background, and each person brings something unique to the table. You can learn a lot just by talking to people.
What is the biggest milestone you have achieved?
In my first year at Liquid Web, I designed over 100 social media graphics and animations, worked on countless website pages, and hit deadline after deadline. I loved jumping into the deep end of the pool and working on multiple projects at once.
What are you known for at Liquid Web? What exactly do people come to you for?
I’m known for my WordPress pages and social media animations. If you see a Star Wars cartoon or Harry Potter fighting Dementors, chances are I worked on it.
Besides, I’m funny; And I’m really good at pop culture trivia.
What do you want your customers to know about hosting?
I want people to understand that good hosting can be the difference between success and failure. As a freelancer, I can see how bad hosting companies are hurting people’s businesses. If your site goes down, it not only looks bad, it can cost you money and customers. I want people to know that good hosting can make your life a lot easier and give you peace of mind.
