Artificial intelligence (AI) is a new frontier in technology that we are just beginning to explore. Many of you are interested in using AI, but we recognize that most developers aren’t (yet) ready to commit to building their own artificial intelligence models. With this in mind, we’ve created a resource to help you get started building applications using this technology.
Today we are starting a new video series. Build with Google AI. This series introduces practical and useful AI-powered projects that don’t require deep knowledge of artificial intelligence or extensive development resources. In fact, these projects can be done within his day.
From self-driving cars to medical diagnostics, AI is automating tasks, increasing efficiency, and helping us make better decisions. At the heart of this wave of innovation are artificial intelligence models, including large-scale language models like Google PaLM 2 and specialized AI models for translation, object detection, and other tasks. However, the frontier of AI is not just about building new and better AI models, but also about using those models to create high-quality experiences and useful applications.
Practical AI code projects
This series is by developers, for developers. We want to help you build with AI. Code projects can’t do everything.they should practical and expandable. We strongly believe in starting small and tackling concrete problems. The open source projects featured in this series are selected to be ready to run. build beyond them. Try making these projects your own. Build solutions that matter to you.
Finally, and most importantly, we want to accelerate the use of AI to benefit users, developers, creators, and organizations. Therefore, we focus on solutions that follow principles for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
In the first arc of this series, we’ll focus on how to leverage Google’s AI language model capabilities into your applications, specifically the Google PaLM API. Here’s what’s coming:
- AI content search with Doc Agent (10/3) Learn how Google’s technical writing team built an AI-powered conversational search interface for their content, and how you can use its open source project to build the same functionality for your own content. I’ll show you how to do it.
- AI writing assistant powered by Wordcraft (10/10) Learn how Google’s People and AI Research team built a story-writing application using AI technology, and how you can extend the code to build your own custom writing applications.
- AI Coding Assistant and Pipette Code Agent (10/17) Learn how Google’s AI Developer Relations team built a coding assistance agent as an extension for Visual Studio Code and how you can leverage the open source project in your development workflow.
In the second arc of the series, we deliver a new set of projects that run artificial intelligence applications locally on devices to reduce latency, improve reliability, and improve data privacy.
Insights from the development team
As developers, we love code, but we know that understanding other people’s code projects can be a difficult task. This series includes demos and tutorials on how to customize the code, and talks to the people behind the code. Why did they build it? What did they learn along the way? Hear insights directly from the project team so you can take things further.
Discover AI technologies across Google
Google provides many resources for developers to build solutions using artificial intelligence. Whether you’re looking to develop with Google’s AI language models, build new models with TensorFlow, or deploy a full-stack solution with Google Cloud Vertex AI, find the best AI technology solution for your development project. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals. To start your journey, visit Build with Google AI.
We hope you’re as excited as we are Build with Google AI I would like to share the video series with you. Check out episode #1 now! Use these video comments to let us know what you think and what you’d like to see in future episodes.
Keep learning! Keep building!
