Stay ahead of the curve and discover new features in InDesign from the highly anticipated Adobe Max 2023 event. Adobe has released the latest features for his InDesign 2024 version, and I’m looking forward to incorporating them into my workflow. Adobe Max 2023 was full of surprises, including the ability to easily format text using InDesign’s autostyle features and hide spreads within the Pages panel. But that’s not all. You now have access to analysis and searchable text for all published documents. For all designers who dabble in code, Adobe has introduced his UXP plugin. Plugins allow you to use JavaScript to build extensive user interfaces and more interactive components. Take a look at what’s new in Adobe InDesign 2024.

How to update Adobe InDesign
In conjunction with Adobe Max 2023, Adobe has released an InDesign update. This update provides new features and enhancements that are detailed in this article. Be sure to update to InDesign 2024 to continue. These features are not available in the 2023 InDesign update. If you’re not sure how to update InDesign to the latest version, or need a refresher, follow these steps to update InDesign.
step 1
open creative cloud Desktop application on your computer. select, app It’s on the left toolbar.
Step 2
You should see three columns below. Installation complete section. The middle column displays one of the following: Updates available or Latest. click upon Updates available Next to InDesign. This will bring up a new screen with a list of all app updates.
You can also click update Click in the left vertical menu to go to the list of apps that need to be updated.click update Then wait until the app installation process is completed.
Once completed, you should have InDesign 19.0 version installed.
auto style
One of the notable highlights of the recent Adobe MAX 2023 event was the introduction of InDesign’s Autostyle feature.
of auto style The functionality within InDesign leverages Adobe Teacher, an AI and machine learning technology that allows you to create your own style packs or choose from 20 preset style packs. Style packs are the following groups: paragraph style Can be applied to various text frames.open style pack Click the panel to select the text frame you want to format. from here, preset Or something you created.

Hide the spread
Now that all text frames are styled, you can also hide some pages. Luckily, you can now hide spreads in InDesign. Find. page Select the spreads you want to hide in the panel. right > click expand and select hide. Now, when you export or view the document, only the visible pages will be included or displayed. This gives you more control over what content is displayed during presentations or when sharing/exporting documents with others.
file name suffix
With the introduction of file name suffix In InDesign 2024, Adobe is making sure your files stay organized with the ability to add suffixes such as incremental numbers, page numbers, and page sizes. By incorporating a suffix into the file name, users can quickly identify and organize exported images based on their intended use. For example, if you’re creating social media images, you can add a suffix to differentiate sizes for different platforms.

To access the filename suffix feature, go to: File > export and below formatselect JPEG or PNG.
Step 2
under export In the section suffix field.click + Sign to add a suffix to the file name.click export.
Published online
Publish Online is a feature of Adobe InDesign 2024 that allows users to easily share their designs and publications online. designers can now use InDesign Publish Online to create digital versions of their content with tracking metrics. Analytics integration is a valuable tool when measuring traffic and engagement on public documents. Adobe is now incorporating Google Analytics into its published documents.
To find publishing features online, go to: File > Published online.
Another notable feature is the ability to search for text within published documents. This feature allows users to quickly and efficiently find relevant information from any device they use. However, it’s important to note that text search is limited to touch devices only. Additionally, desktop and laptop users have the added benefit of being able to search as well as copy text from published documents.

This will start the next Adobe InDesign update. half buzz. InDesign has made significant advances in its shaping engine. By integrating his Harfbuzz as the default formatting engine in World Ready Composer, users can now experience enhanced formatting and accurate rendering of Indian and MENA language glyphs. InDesign’s inclusion of Harfbuzz improves handling of complex scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Hindi. This means that designers using these languages can expect a higher level of precision in how glyphs appear on screen and in print.
UXP plugin
One of the highlights of Adobe Max is: UXP plugin. In the world of design and publishing, plugins play an important role in increasing productivity and streamlining workflows. With the advent of the Unified Extensibility Platform (UXP), developers can now take advantage of the latest JavaScript capabilities to build controls for Adobe InDesign and other Creative Cloud desktop applications.
