Fold7 designed the event identity for NEAR Protocol’s flagship event NEARCON 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.
At the heart of NEAR is a climate-neutral open-source protocol that is a sharded, proof-of-stake, layer 1 blockchain. This ecosystem has a vast number of applications, infrastructure, and support built by an ever-expanding network of developers, entrepreneurs, and creators. It is supported by the NEAR Foundation, which fosters innovation through grants.
The 3.5-day NEARCON event brought more than 2,000 delegates from the NEAR and Web3 communities to Lisbon to learn about the NEAR ecosystem and the latest Web3 developments and technologies. Renowned authors, economists, leading artists, and politicians led the talks.
To commemorate this occasion, NEAR needed a clear, thorough identity that leveraged and focused on the NEAR brand, so they turned to Fold7 for help. Fold7’s design solutions are inspired by multiple themes, ideas, discussions and presentations, all coming together in one place under his one brand, one roof.
By centering the brand’s iconic ‘N’ infinity symbol and creating a broader visual language from its strong geometry, Fold7 amplifies the master brand’s signature movement and brings its unique We were able to emphasize our unique identity. The result is a highly modular system that can be expanded or contracted to any format, serve a variety of roles throughout the scheme, and even serve as directional signposts for event spaces. A key element was a motion graphics component with multiple intensities and modes, depending on the overall theme and mood of the event.
